Investing in the Future Today
The Ottawa High School Educational Foundation is a not for profit organization that was established to supplement the educational needs of the student body and is made possible by generous donations from alumni and the surrounding community. The funds enable us to provide additional opportunities and materials to further the educational needs of students that traditional funding alone may not cover.
Teacher Grants
The Ottawa Township High School Educational Foundation secures and channels private funds to enhance educational programs and opportunities for OTHS students. The Foundation raises funds for innovative teaching projects, better labs and facilities, new equipment, and the extras that cannot be afforded within the regular school budget.
Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame is one way we honor OTHS graduates and their accomplishments after high school. The Educational Foundation hosts a ceremony and dinner to recognize and induct new members of the Hall of Fame every year after a home basketball game in February.
Spangler & Scherer Courtyard
The Educational Foundation maintains the Spangler Courtyard at the high school. Bricks or decor can be purchased through the foundation as well as trees or sculptures. All sponsored items are customized and the money is put towards the vision of the foundation to further the education of the current students.
Donations
Everything the foundation is able to accomplish is due to generous donations. Donations made to the foundation support our vision to provide for student’s educational needs. Endowments, scholarships, brick and courtyard purchases, and any donations go towards our vision to support the educational needs of students at Ottawa Township High School.
“Since its inception in 1993, all members of the Ottawa Township High School District #140 school community have greatly benefitted from the generosity of the OTHS Education Foundation. The Foundation has annually provided over $30,000 worth of grants, scholarships, and awards to OTHS students and faculty members making the Foundation one of the largest private financial sponsors of OTHS District #140. On behalf of the OTHS Board of Education, Administration, Faculty and Staff I would like to thank the Foundation for their consistent financial support and encourage any interested community members to support the Foundation in their endeavors.”
