Foundation Leadership Award January Student of the Month English Department 

ALEX AREVALO 

The English Department has selected Alex Arevalo for the OTHS Educational Foundation's Senior Leadership Award. 

Alex entered the Advanced Comp English class with a humble desire to learn and worked diligently throughout the semester, continuing to be more and more successful with each assignment. 

Alex is a thoughtful, conscientious student with a consistent work ethic and an excellent sense of humor. Alex's stellar work ethic is obvious when noting how he has improved as an English student over the past couple of years. He must be commended for not only working to improve skills associated with studying literature and composition but also taking on the challenge of a college-level writing course during his senior year. 

Alex is a prime example of a student who leads by example by showing what can be achieved through dedication and hard work.
